What's happening in Capricorn Season?
As the sun moves from fiery Sagittarius into grounded Capricorn, we’re invited to set steady intentions. With the winter solstice bringing a quiet pause and the return of the light, the season’s magic begins to unfold. Let’s explore it together…
Rooted intentions ~ How to work with the earth magic of Capricorn season
21st December: PST | EST | GMT
As the sun moves from the fire energy of Sagittarius into the earthy realm of Capricorn, we are given an opportunity to lean into weaving grounded intentions. We also welcome the winter solstice, a potent pause that reminds us that after this point, the light will begin to return and the days get longer. Are you ready to work with the unfolding magic of this season? Let’s explore it together…
Guided by the steadfast sea-goat, Capricorn season lends our ambitions a deep, earthy strength, helping vision take form. Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, known as the planet of steady discipline, boundaries and hard-won insight likes us to chart a strategic, considered course. This season is a time to honour the structures we’ve already laid and to consider what comes next.
This is also heralded as Saturn, out of retrograde and in the later degrees of Pisces, is getting ready to re-enter Aries in mid-February 2026. As this time approaches and Capricorn season continues, we may feel a sense of finally bridging a dream to reality or that our foundations are being checked one last time before Saturn changes signs. What is next for you? Capricorn season gives the opportunity to contemplate this and plant seeds of intention for a new year.

Ways to work with Capricorn season:
-
Make space to turn inward: Let this season draw you gently towards introspection and grounding. Where might you slow your pace and listen more closely to your own quiet guidance?
-
Shape your intentions: This is an auspicious time to lay the groundwork for what you’d like to invite in. Beginning with the new moon ( just before we start Capricorn season) on 20th December and as you move through January - set your intentions with clarity and care.
-
Lean into supportive structure: Consider whether a clearer rhythm or routine might help you feel more rooted and at ease. What simple habits could you weave into the everyday?
-
Honour what you’ve accomplished: Reflect on all you’ve navigated this year. Which milestones deserve a moment of recognition, and which challenges have helped you grow?
-
Revisit your boundaries: Notice where your energy has been stretched thin. Where might a firmer “no” support your wellbeing, and what refreshed boundaries could steady you as 2026 unfolds?

Conserving energy
During Capricorn season we can rest, reflect and conserve energy. As we move into 2026, we may also feel the pace pick up as a powerful planetary meet up in the sea-goat’s realm takes place. If you start to feel this momentum, remember to keep your feet on the ground, practice patience and let the wisdom of Saturn help you keep your goals in sight.
