What's happening in Libra Season?
Libra Season Begins - As the sun enters Libra and the autumn equinox arrives, balance is key. This Venus-ruled season invites harmony, beauty, and deeper connection — a chance to reset and realign.
Balancing the scales ~ The art of working with Libra season
22nd September: PDT | EDT | BST
As the sun departs the earth sign of Virgo to move into airy Libra, we can take a breath, a new season begins. With the eclipses behind us it is time to welcome the autumn equinox (in the northern hemisphere) and Libra energy. This is a new realm where the scales wish to be evenly balanced. Let’s take a closer look...
Ruled by Venus, planet of love and relationships, the sign of Libra is happiest honouring beauty, creativity and encouraging harmonious connections. At its heart, Libra aspires to an ideal of reciprocity and fairness. This is a sign that resists emotional discord, seeking instead thoughtful diplomacy and graceful balance.
This desire for equilibrium is rooted in the portion of the year that Libra governs. As the sun moves into Libra, the equinox is upon us, a time of equal day and night. This turning point informs Libra’s continuous quest for balance, particularly in relationships. The ability to assess what feels fair and just is important to this sign and Venus’s influence means that matters of the heart are often at the forefront. However, we may also find other topics Venus rules, such as our creativity, what we value and how we value it may be illuminated.
Self and others…
The entrance into Libra season and the equinox provides an opportunity to look closely at the give and take in our lives and specifically when attuning to Libra energy, within our relationships. During this season we can take the opportunity to infuse some Libra energy into the connection we have with ourselves and others…

Ways to work with Libra season:
-
Practise self compassion: Be kind to yourself. Whether it’s ditching the negative self-talk, booking a self-care treatment, freeing up some time in your diary or even adding some new style to your wardrobe… show yourself some TLC.
-
Give your altar a glow up: If you want to boost Venusian vibes, try beautifying your altar or sacred space. Adding fresh flowers, a rose quartz, a pink candle – these are simple ways to honour Venus and Libran energy.
-
Assess your relationships: Which ones feel like they give you energy and which ones feel like they drain it? Be honest with yourself. Is the balance off? How might you redress it?
-
Embrace creative callings: This is a wonderful season to take up a new hobby for pleasure or visit somewhere that inspires a sense of creativity within you. (Think art exhibitions, museums, theatre shows, wherever gets your creative juices flowing).
-
Honour the new moon in Libra (October 21st): Tune into this powerful new moon to reflect on what has changed during Libra season and set some intentions to take you through the next lunar cycle.
Releasing…
As the sun moves through Libra, autumn wraps around us and the falling leaves whisper lessons in the art of release. Whatever insights the eclipse season has stirred within you, the journey toward inner alchemy begins here. Allow yourself the time to restore balance.
