On March 29th we see the second eclipse of the season in Aries brings fresh energy and signals powerful planetary shifts. While Aries inspires bold new beginnings, Mars in Cancer and retrograde Mercury and Venus suggest we may need to pause and reflect before moving forward. This solar eclipse invites us to embrace transformation, but with patience as we navigate these cosmic changes.
Lighting a path forward: Solar Eclipse in Aries 2025
March 29th PST 03:57 | EST 06:57 | GMT 10.57
Our second eclipse of the season arrives in Aries, bringing fresh energy and lighting the way for some major planetary action! This solar eclipse also gives us the opportunity to acknowledge what March has brought us so far. Let’s explore how we can tune in…
As the first sign of the astrological calendar, Aries is sometimes called the infant of the zodiac. This fire sign encourages us to step into our excitement, enthusiasm and childlike wonder for what comes next. A solar eclipse in this sign brings the start of a new lunar cycle and a real sense of powerful inception. It also signifies shifts and transformation that may feel impactful and intense.

We need to consider that the ruler of this eclipse, Mars, is still uncomfortably wading the waters of Cancer. Mercury and Venus are also retrograde, both having turned retrograde in Aries. These planetary movements suggest that something is still being worked out, and although the urge to move forward is calling, there may still be some more work to do before we can fully progress.
With mystical, elusive Neptune moving into Aries on 30th March, we can catch a new and deep wave of energy, so how can we work with what the skies are showing us?

Ways to work with the Aries Solar Eclipse:
-
Ground yourself: This may be through exercise, meditation, yoga; simply make time to pause. To welcome eclipse energy and Neptune moving into Aries, now is a good time to steady yourself and connect to your centre.
-
Look back to look ahead: March is a huge month astrologically; take a moment to consider what has been revealed to you so far and the direction you’d like to head in.
-
Contemplate your needs and your resources: Consider how you are honouring your needs and if they have changed. Which emotional or spiritual resources can you develop to move forwards?
-
Find your focus: Mars energy encourages us to strip away anything that is holding us back. Is there something to simplify or any loose ends you can tie up to help you gain clarity?
-
Reflect with your inner warrior: Sometimes a new beginning requires both courage and resilience. Reflect on the last time you felt courageous or had to show resilience. Try journaling about it.
A new cycle beckons…
To work with a new moon eclipse we can journal, meditate or simply find time to ground ourselves. The day after this eclipse, Neptune moves into Aries giving an extra boost of energy to the cycle ahead. This highlights what an important new moon eclipse, and overall cycle, this is to observe.
